Thalia Alaniz, known as TJ the DJ, grew up in a border town called Citrus City in South Texas. Growing up as a predominate athlete she would take on music music as an extra activity. Growing up listening to country and Spanish music, she started dabbling in different instruments and learned how to play the saxophone, piano, and guitar. But she always felt drawn to her dad’s old school Rap and R&B CD’s he’d play in his truck.

After graduating high school she decided to start her new chapter by moving to Austin in search of opportunity.

 

  When at a 21 Savage concert she got to network to his DJ and was drawn to the idea of becoming a universal female DJ. She bought a beginner board and spent hours in her room watching Youtube videos and learning how to mix. Once she was ready, she started spinning at local showcases and promoting her services on social media and it began! In the 4 years of her journey she’s played over 200+ events and performed with artists such as BeatKing, Tay Money, Lil KeKe, Lil Flip, Quinn NFN, and Miss Jaywalk. She started getting booked for multiple showcases, concerts, and events for bringing her fashionable style and “Setting the Vibe”!

 

  Also starring in multiple music videos, such as “Like Cola” by Tribe Mafia hitting over 1 million views on YouTube. She has done several modeling photoshoots & appears on clothing brands like Jeanluc & Co. and The Tee Boutique.

   She will be performing all around Texas and is nominated for Female DJ of the Year for the Southern Entertainment Awards 2022.
